Fibers (2022)

A facsimile of a knitted sweater created by one of my mothers many years ago as a gift for the other. This version of the sweater is made of unbleached abaca treated with konnyaku and is speckled with traced text from familial recipe cards in my mother and grandmother’s handwriting.

This paper sweater is an exploration of queer familial histories, and the interconnection between my own identity and those who have preceded me.
